Strong and durable retroreflective targets for use with the boresight calibration tool
Make pointcloud blurring and double-vision a thing of the past with the OxTS Boresight Targets.
Designed for use with the OxTS Boresight Calibration tool within OxTS Georeferencer, the OxTS Boresight Targets enable quick and simple LiDAR and INS calibration.
The targets contain a large retro-reflective face that can be isolated in LiDAR scans during a short, five minute pre-survey data collection. Once collected, the data is processed using the Boresight Calibration tool which will calculate the angle offset between your LiDAR and INS.
Accurate calibration of the INS and LiDAR coordinate frames can be very difficult to achieve by eye. Using the boresight targets, and processing the data with the boresight calibration tool, the angles can be calculated to a much higher degree of accuracy.
Boresighting your payload accurately before the survey will ensure that your pointcloud is protected from blurring and double-vision.

OxTS Boresight Target Datasheet
Accurately calibrating the coordinate frames between an INS and LiDAR sensor will increase the accuracy of your pointcloud and remove blurring and double-vision.
Using the boresight targets alongside the OxTS boresight calibration tool, which is available within OxTS Georeferencer, will speed up the process of calibration and remove the uncertainty of misalignment errors rendering your data unusable.
